The Accidental Face of Bee Sanctuary Honey
When Zoie was attending the University of West Florida (Go Argos), Rizza & Shelby entrusted the family’s hobby business as a means to put Zoie through college debt-free.
While attending school full-time, keeping a 3.0 gpa, and serving on her sorority’s leadership board Zoie curated relationships with local businesses to sell her honey in their store!
Since graduating, Zoie put more time into marketing, branding, and sharing the story of Bee Sanctuary. Putting that Business degree to use, Bee Sanctuary Honey has been able to flourish and build several more business relationships. Focusing on local and family-owned businesses.
While doing that, she accidentally became the face of Bee Sanctuary. Sharing the story of how the business grew up with her and helped her achieve her goal of a college degree, debt-free.

You may recognize Rizza at the Saturday markets on Palafox. Sharing her knowledge and answering all your questions about Bee Sanctuary’s Pensacola local honey.
Shelby is the expert beekeeper in the family. He’s spent years learning from generational beekeepers, including his own grandpa, and leading the the local bee club’s citizens’ science project to see what on the market is most beneficial to our bees!
If you’ve been to an EscaRosa Beekeeper’s Association meeting, you’ll learn that Shelby is a “bee-centric” beekeeper and nothing is more important than what is best for the bees.
