About Bee Sanctuary
Beekeeping started as a hobby for the Johnson family in 2009.
Bee Sanctuary was established in 2011 with a fill-your-own bottle set up at The Butcher Shoppe when it was originally located at Fairfield Dr & Lillian Hwy.
In 2019, Zoie was starting college at the University of West Florida (go Argos!). In order to put herself through college, Zoie’s parents gave her free reign with Bee Sanctuary and her first business partnership with Apple Market.
While being a full-time college student, active in her sorority’s leadership board, and participating in community service and club activities; Zoie built more business relationships! She hand washed, bottled, and labeled every bottle. And delivered every delivery herself.
During COVID, she continued to accomplish every delivery to our retail partners. As well as deliver bottles to different local in the Pensacola area to keep individuals and families safe during COVID-19 outbreak.
Since Zoie graduated in 2023, Bee Sanctuary Honey was given a new look! The new look involved new glass bottles, easier to read labels, and an expansion in bottle AND honey types.
